The National Fire Authority (NFA) has announced a 20 percent increase in wages and salaries for its operational staff. This marks the first pay raise for employees since 2017.

Minister for Local Government, Maciu Nalumisa, emphasized the significance of this wage adjustment, which acknowledges the essential contributions made by NFA employees. He described the initiative as a means to recognize the hard work of the authority and its personnel, providing fair compensation for their dedication to the organization’s operational goals.

“The government is dedicated to staff empowerment, technical training, and professional development for our firefighters,” Nalumisa stated. He also noted that NFA is forming strategic collaborations aimed at enhancing service delivery, facilitating knowledge sharing, and improving technical capabilities.
