Rob Rush, the second son of legendary New Zealand Sevens player Eric Rush, has joined the All Blacks Sevens team in Cape Town. This comes after New Zealand suffered a setback in their recent match against Argentina, where they lost two key players, Joe Webber and Andrew Knewstubb, during the bronze medal playoff at the Dubai Sevens.

In light of these changes, Rob Rush is stepping in for Webber, while Fletcher Carpenter takes Knewstubb’s place. Fans are eagerly anticipating Rob’s potential debut and the chance to see him play alongside his brother, Brady, during the tournament.

The All Blacks Sevens will kick off their campaign against USA Sevens at 11:54 PM tomorrow, followed by a match against France Sevens at 3:35 AM on Sunday.

This moment marks an exciting opportunity for Rob Rush to establish his own legacy while carrying forward the family tradition in rugby. Fans are hopeful that both brothers will bring their talents to the field together, showcasing the strength and depth of New Zealand rugby.
