New Signing Boosts Suva FC’s Forward Line

Vanuatu’s national marksman, Joe Moses, is heading to Fiji to join Suva FC for the remainder of this season. The 21-year-old, who played for Galaxy FC last season, is expected to enhance Suva’s attacking lineup.

Moses will be the third international striker to sign with the Whites during the mid-season transfer window, following the earlier signings of Solomon Islands strikers Gagame Feni and Jaygray Sipakana. His impressive performances for Vanuatu in the recent OFC Nations Cup, where the team reached the final for the first time, caught the attention of Suva FC.

Expressing his excitement, Moses said, “I was so happy when they (Suva FC) messaged me and asked me to go and play for them. It is a dream come true for me,” as reported by Vanuatu’s Daily Post.

This move marks Moses’ first international club stint, and he is eager to gain valuable experience while making his family and nation proud. He is particularly motivated by the desire to support his mother in paying for his younger sister’s school fees, an important responsibility for him despite having to put his own educational aspirations on hold for football.

Moses will be contracted to Suva FC for six months, with an option for renewal.

In upcoming league action, Flick Hygiene Suva is set to face Extra Supermarket Labasa in Round 12 of the Digicel Fiji Premier League at Subrail Park on Saturday.
