The recently inaugurated kindergarten extension at Nabua Primary School was officially opened last Friday by Assistant Minister Sakiusa Tubuna. This new facility is designed as a sheltered outdoor learning and play area, specifically catering to preschool students. The project was a result of a collaborative effort between the Government and ZEG Investments, with a total investment of $42,000.
During the opening ceremony, Mr. Tubuna expressed confidence that this extension will greatly benefit the kindergarten children, their parents, and the altogether Nabua Primary School community. He highlighted the importance of the new playspace in providing comfort and protection from harsh weather conditions while enhancing the overall learning experience. Mr. Tubuna encouraged students to take ownership of this government-supported initiative, emphasizing its role in fostering pride and regular school attendance.
Teacher Suliana Matai also shared her gratitude towards the project, noting that it protects children from the harsh elements such as heat and heavy rainfall. She conveyed her heartfelt appreciation, stating that the new facility would positively impact generations to come.
This recent achievement follows a similar theme reflected in the recent opening of the Kavanagasau Sanatan Dharm Kindergarten, which also highlighted the commitment to early childhood education through collaboration with community stakeholders. The result is a positive step forward for educational infrastructure in Fiji, focusing on nurturing and protecting young learners in supportive environments.
The community spirit evident in both projects underscores an emerging trend towards enhancing educational resources aimed at encouraging preschool enrollment and fostering lifelong learning, marking a hopeful future for the young students in these areas.
