The FIJI Water Flying Fijians will be missing several key players during the 2024 Pacific Nations Cup, allowing for the inclusion of six new talents in the squad.
Prominent absent players include Waisea Nayacalevu, Semi Radradra, Levani Botia, Peniasi Dakuwaqa, and Josua Tuisova, among others.
Head Coach Mick Byrne has communicated with the young players, highlighting the importance of authenticity.
Byrne stated, “The message to all our young players is to enjoy the selection and be who they are. They don’t have to come in and do anything special now that they’ve joined the Flying Fijians.”
He also noted that while these newcomers will inject energy into the team, it is crucial for them to remain calm and not overexert themselves to achieve peak performance.
