Labasa is set to welcome a new commercial office complex worth $2.1 million, following the commencement of the project by VCORP Pte Limited’s managing director, Vinesh Dayal, last month.
The planned development consists of a two-storey building situated along Sangam Avenue, directly across from the Sangam College of Nursing and Health Care Education in Labasa Town.
Mr. Dayal, who also owns several businesses including LunchBox Restaurant Limited and Hotel North Pole, expressed that the investment aims to provide local business operators with the opportunity to secure their own office space.
The in-house construction company is overseeing the project, which is slated for completion by December 2024, with office space expected to be available from January 2025.
“This 600 square metre commercial complex will introduce an exciting brand from Viti Levu, bringing additional value to Labasa,” Mr. Dayal stated. He voiced confidence in the economy and expressed a commitment to creating new job opportunities and investments in the region.
Mr. Dayal emphasized the potential for business in Labasa, asserting that “one can sell everything and anything in Labasa.” He encouraged people to visit the town to witness its ongoing transformation. Furthermore, as the president of the Labasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries, he aims to inspire others in the community to pursue significant business advancements.
