A woman from Navua is set to enter her plea by the end of this month regarding charges of unlawful confinement and neglect. The allegations suggest that she would leave her children locked outside of their home whenever her de facto partner was present, reportedly hosting parties while the children endured cold nights outside.

Police reports indicate that the incidents have been ongoing since June of the previous year, but the woman was only taken into custody in December. Notably, she also has a domestic violence restraint order in place.

The upcoming court hearing, scheduled for next Tuesday, will mark an important step in a case that highlights the critical issue of child safety and the alarming circumstances some children may face in domestic situations.
