The Natabua High School Under-18 girls rugby team aims to enhance their discipline and fundamental skills in preparation for the Weet-Bix Raluve Trophy semi-final next week. This statement was made by head coach Inoke Vucago following their decisive 41-0 victory against Nasinu Secondary School on Friday.

Vucago expressed his team’s determination to go further than last year’s quarterfinal loss, emphasizing a one-game-at-a-time mentality as they prepared rigorously ahead of the match. He instructed the players to increase their scoring after leading 17-0 at halftime.

Many players have experience in the Marama Championship, playing for under-20 clubs in Nadi, Yasawa, and Lautoka, which has adequately prepared them for 40-minute matches. Vucago acknowledged the need for a stronger performance in the upcoming semi-final, expressing pride in his players for adhering to 80 percent of their game plan and their eagerness to secure a win.

He dedicated the victory to the parents, teachers, and students of Natabua High School, highlighting the strength of their forwards and the well-rounded capability of their backline.
