Health Inspectors in the Central Division have successfully cleared the dormitory facilities at Nasinu Secondary School following a thorough follow-up inspection. This assessment was conducted in preparation for the students’ upcoming move into the dormitories.
The inspection came at the request of the school administration, which aimed to ensure that the dormitories met health and safety standards, making them clean, safe, and suitable for student occupancy. This review follows previous notifications issued to the school at the close of last year, allowing a seven-week period for necessary corrective actions to be implemented.
The inspectors expressed satisfaction with the significant improvements observed during the visit. The first two boys’ dormitory buildings have been fully repaired and cleaned, and they are now ready for use, boasting all required facilities that have been replaced and are fully operational.
The inspection team has committed to ongoing monitoring of the school. They plan to re-inspect the canteen and WASH facilities once the school session resumes to ensure that compliance with health and safety standards is maintained.
This positive development underscores the school’s commitment to providing a safe living environment for its students, reflecting a proactive approach to health and safety in educational settings.
