A significant fire erupted at the Tri-Dees Spare Parts facility on Beddoes Circle in Namaka, Nadi, prompting an immediate response from firefighters. Teams from the National Fire Authority (NFA) and Fiji Airports have been engaged in combating the blaze for more than an hour, utilizing three NFA fire trucks along with one unit from Fiji Airports.
Sources indicate that the fire likely originated near the building’s generator. The establishment functions as both the company’s head office and warehouse, housing stock valued at over one million dollars, raising concerns about substantial losses.
An employee present at the scene expressed their shock but was unable to provide further comments on the situation. In response to the unfolding incident, authorities are advising the public to steer clear of the area, while motorists are also encouraged to avoid the vicinity for safety reasons.
