Nadi achieved a significant 2-0 victory over rival Nadroga during Round 3 of the Extra Premier League at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka. This win serves as a revival for the Jetsetters following their recent 3-2 defeat against Suva, demonstrating a marked improvement in their gameplay. Nadroga fielded several skilled players, including William Valentine and Solomon Islanders Jack Wale and Steven Koti, as well as Ni-Vanuatu midfielder Jack Vira Tokaki.

The first half was competitive, with neither team able to score. However, the second half saw a breakthrough when Nadi’s Eneriko Matau found the back of the net, setting up teammate Rusiate Matarerega for a second goal, which ultimately sealed the victory for Nadi.

With this result, Nadi has collected a total of 6 points from three matches, while Nadroga remains at 1 point after their three games.

This victory signals a hopeful turn for Nadi as they aim to gain momentum in the league and illustrates their potential for a strong season ahead. Fans are excited by the team’s revival and have optimistic expectations for their future performances as they continue their journey in the Extra Premier League.
