Raj Dayal, head coach of Nadi’s football team, has returned to Fiji from Canada to kickstart the Jetsetters’ preseason preparations ahead of the National League, which is scheduled to begin on February 14. With a month to go before the league starts, Dayal will focus on improving the team’s tactical combinations and physical fitness to achieve a significantly better performance than last season.

Dayal took over as coach last year and quickly made an impact, guiding Nadi to the finals of the Battle of the Giants and advancing to the semifinals of the Inter District Championship. This previous success has raised expectations for the upcoming season as the Jetsetters look to build on their achievements while addressing previous challenges they faced, including a difficult phase during the Digicel Fiji FACT.

Importantly, Dayal will collaborate closely with new assistant coach, Mohammed Ashif Khan, to optimize training strategies and enhance the team dynamics. The recent positive momentum, showcased by Nadi’s back-to-back victories in the Digicel Fiji Premier League, adds to the optimism surrounding the team as they aim to improve their standing in the National League.

This period is critical for the Jetsetters, and with Dayal back at the helm, fans have reason to be hopeful about the team’s prospects this season. The focus on fitness and teamwork could lay a strong foundation for a competitive run in upcoming competitions. As the preseason unfolds, the combination of Dayal’s expertise and the squad’s talent promises an exciting journey ahead for Nadi, indicating a commitment to greater success in the league.
