Motorists experienced significant delays at Nadi International Airport yesterday due to a vehicle fire following a collision. The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 am, according to police spokesperson Constable Wame Batutolu.

He explained that a 61-year-old driver, who was traveling towards Lautoka, failed to yield to another vehicle turning at the roundabout towards Nadi Airport while returning from Sabeto. This led to a collision that resulted in one of the vehicles catching fire.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the incident. It was noted that the traffic lights in the area have been malfunctioning for some time, with traffic direction being managed using cones. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
