Musa Jobarteh, the Ambassador of Gambia, has successfully chaired his inaugural meeting as the Chair of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) Committee of Ambassadors. This significant session focused on crucial agenda items, which included a detailed report from the Working Group on the upcoming 11th Summit of Heads of State and Government, insights related to the Caribbean-European Union Parliamentary Assembly, as well as findings from the Audit and Budget Committee.
The discussions during the meeting emphasized strategic reflections aligned with the ongoing reform process of the organization, as well as preparations for the highly anticipated 11th Summit of OACPS Heads of State and Government. This pivotal summit is set to take place next month in Equatorial Guinea, where leaders will gather in Malabo to address key issues impacting their respective regions.
