A 25-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a 27-year-old individual from Buakonikai, Rabi, by the Major Crime Unit of the Criminal Investigations Department. The police reported that the incident took place on October 20 when the accused allegedly assaulted the victim during a disagreement, which led to the victim’s death.
Following a thorough investigation, the authorities consulted with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, which authorized the murder charge. The accused is scheduled to appear in Savusavu Magistrates Court today.
