The body of a 15-year-old student who had been reported missing since December 24, 2025, was found today in Tamaivua-i-Wai. The teenager had left home that day to meet friends and head to Suva but unfortunately did not return as expected.
Following a fruitless search by his family who looked in the settlement and reached out to relatives and friends, they reported him missing to the Samabula Police Station earlier today. The grim discovery was made by a 30-year-old man, who promptly notified the police.
The victim’s parents were able to identify him through the clothing found at the scene. Authorities have confirmed that investigations are currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the teenager’s disappearance and subsequent death. This tragic event underscores the importance of community vigilance in ensuring the safety of young individuals.
