Melania Tora, a determined and enthusiastic contestant vying for the 2024 Miss Hibiscus title, has aspirations of establishing a free rehabilitation center in Fiji dedicated to offering mental health care and support to the country’s at-risk communities.
At 24, she represents the family-owned business Tents & Awnings and is currently studying for her master’s in psychology at The University of the South Pacific. Melania previously graduated with distinction, earning a Bachelor of Arts and Psychology from Deakin University in Victoria, Australia, and also holds a Diploma in Arts and Psychology from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. Her academic success and passion for psychology are guiding her toward a career as a clinical psychologist.
In addition to her studies and career aspirations, Melania loves listening to music and podcasts, exercising, and spending time with friends. Her varied interests and commitment to enhancing mental health services in Fiji position her as an inspiring and noteworthy participant in this year’s competition.
