Five men narrowly avoided serious injuries in a truck collision along Queens Road near Emuri in Sigatoka yesterday. Senior Superintendent of Police Mitieli Divuana, the Director of Traffic, reported that one driver lost control of his truck, causing it to cross into the opposite lane and collide head-on with another vehicle. The second truck was driven by a 44-year-old man who had three passengers with him at the time. Both drivers are still receiving treatment at Lautoka Hospital, while the three passengers have been discharged after receiving medical care. Authorities confirmed that there were no fatalities in the incident.
