Mick Beddoes Takes the Wheel: New Role with Fiji Bus Operators Association

Nadi businessman Mick Beddoes has been appointed as a consultant for the Fiji Bus Operators Association (FBOA), effective this Friday. Richard Lal, the FBOA President, emphasized Beddoes’ extensive experience in the transport sector, where he has spent decades as an Inbound Tour and Transport Operator. He is the founder and Managing Director of Sun Tours Fiji and the joint venture partner and Managing Director of Coral Sun Fiji.

In his new role, Beddoes will focus on various aspects of the operations and service delivery for the association’s members. His responsibilities will include ensuring that the services offered to the travelling public remain safe, efficient, and cost-effective. Additionally, he will investigate contemporary issues such as e-ticketing and liaise with key organizations, including the Consumer Council, the Land Transport Authority (LTA), the Government, and others on behalf of the FBOA.

This appointment marks a strategic move for the FBOA, as Beddoes’ insights and connections in the transport and tourism sectors are expected to drive improvements in service delivery and operations. The association aims to enhance the travel experience for the public, spotlighting a commitment to maintaining high standards in public transportation.
