Viliame Mata, the powerful number eight, is set to make his highly anticipated debut for the Bristol Bears in the upcoming Gallagher Premiership match against the Harlequins. After recovering from a hamstring injury that sidelined him since the pre-season, Mata has earned a spot in the starting line-up.

This match will mark the first time he plays alongside fellow Fijian Kalaveti Ravouvou, who has established himself as a regular starter at outside centre. The Bears are scheduled to face the Harlequins at the Twickenham Stoop tomorrow morning at 7:45 am.

The Bristol Bears lineup includes: Rich Lane, Jack Bates, Kalaveti Ravouvou, Benhard Janse van Rensburg, Gabriel Ibitoye, AJ MacGinty, Kieran Marmion, Jake Woolmore, Gabriel Oghre, Max Lahiff, James Dun, Joe Owen, Santiago Grondona, Fitz Harding (C), and Viliame Mata. The reserves consist of Harry Thacker, Yann Thomas, Lovejoy Chawatama, Steven Luatua, Benjamin Grondona, Oscar Lennon, Joe Jenkins, and Benjamin Elizalde.

The return of Mata promises to bring a fresh dynamic to the Bears’ gameplay, and fans are looking forward to seeing his impact on the pitch alongside Ravouvou. This could be the start of an exciting chapter for both players and the Bristol Bears this season.

Overall, the anticipation surrounding Mata’s debut could energize the team and provide an excellent opportunity to start the match on a high note.
