A moderate easterly flow will keep much of the group with cloud and some showers, while most other areas can expect a mainly fine day with the chance of afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms. Seas are generally moderate and winds moderate, with a shift to northeasterly breezes expected on Tuesday.

Cloudy periods with showers are most likely over Serua‑Namosi, Navua‑Suva‑Nausori, Tailevu‑Naitasiri‑Ra, eastern Macuata, Cakaudrove, southern Bua, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau, Lomaiviti, Kadavu and nearby islands. Elsewhere the forecast is largely fine apart from the usual afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. The Coral Coast, and the Nadi/Lautoka/Ba corridor are singled out for afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms with heavy falls at times, so expect locally heavier downpours there.

Rotuma is experiencing a fresher easterly flow with moderate to rough seas and only brief showers at times, while the rest of the group should see moderate sea conditions.
