Three men suspected of being involved in the sale and distribution of illegal drugs were arrested in separate operations yesterday.

Assistant Commissioner of Police – Operations (ACP) Livai Driu reported that the first operation was executed by the Nausori Crime team in Raralevu, where authorities seized over 50 zip lock bags containing white crystals believed to be methamphetamine, along with 15 sachets of dried leaves suspected to be marijuana. Two men, aged 53 and 29, were taken into custody in connection with this raid.

Additionally, ACP Driu noted that in the Western Division, a 46-year-old man was arrested in Solovi, Nadi, after police discovered more than 170 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana in his possession. He is currently in custody while investigations proceed.

ACP Driu emphasized that police will intensify their efforts to target individuals involved in drug distribution and sales, particularly ahead of major social and sporting events, which are frequently exploited by drug dealers.
