Balei noted that preparations began as early as Friday, with residents closely following weather warnings. “People living on Mago Island are safe. But the wind is really strong right now. We were well prepared from Friday actually,” he stated. To ensure safety, all homes have been secured with shutters, and families are encouraged to seek shelter at the community hall, about 20 meters away.
