Randeep Hooda recently shared insights into his marriage with Lin Laishram in a candid conversation with Mayank Shekhar of Mid-Day, revealing the unusual circumstances surrounding their wedding which took place against the backdrop of ongoing tensions in Manipur.

The actor recounted how they first crossed paths in the theater during a play, “Arms And The Man,” before their relationship blossomed during the lockdown when they spent substantial time together. Randeep humorously remarked about the wedding ceremony, highlighting the unexpected nature of the event, especially given the civil unrest in the region at that time. He reminisced about the wedding planning process, stating, “I was busy editing ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’, and Lin showed me videos of the ceremonies, but I was too occupied to really pay attention!”

The ceremony took place within an army camp for security reasons, and Randeep described it as a dramatic affair filled with various traditions, including visits to local temples and rituals that paid homage to both their cultures. The couple, guided by tutors during the wedding, complied with numerous customs, even humorously noting the restrictions involved in their roles, like not being able to tilt his head while wearing a turban.

Despite the chaos surrounding their nuptials, Randeep expressed that their wedding brought a sense of joy to a tense situation in Manipur. He remarked, “As soon as our pheras finished, we could hear hundreds of AK-47s going off!” Yet they also visited local relief camps post-wedding, creating a contrast between their celebration and the ongoing struggles faced by many in the area.

Interestingly, Randeep pointed out the common ground between Haryana and Manipur, both states contributing significantly to India’s sports achievements, particularly in boxing.

This heartfelt story offers a glimpse into how love can thrive even amidst chaos and uncertainty, symbolizing hope and resilience. Randeep and Lin’s journey, marked by cultural exchanges and shared experiences, not only showcases their personal love story but also reflects the broader narrative of unity and joy that can emerge in difficult times.
