Leeds Rhinos have secured the signing of Fijian winger Maika Sivo from the Australian club Parramatta Eels on a three-year contract. The 31-year-old, who is currently representing Fiji in the Pacific Championships, has been with Parramatta since 2019, where he scored over a hundred tries in the NRL.

Sivo’s move to Headingley will see him reunite with Leeds coach Brad Arthur, who previously spent a decade at the helm of Parramatta. He becomes the Rhinos’ fourth signing since the conclusion of the 2024 Super League season, joining fellow recruits Keenan Palasia from Samoa, Australian second-rower Cooper Jenkins, and full-back Jake Connor from Huddersfield Giants.

“Brad is a big part of who and where I am today,” Sivo expressed. “When he reached out to ask if I wanted to come to Leeds, my response was, ‘I’m coming’.”

He added, “It was a significant decision for my partner and me to move to the other side of the world, but we were immediately excited about the challenges that lie ahead.”
