The Leader of the People’s Alliance Party, Sitiveni Rabuka, has announced that General Secretary Usaia Waqatairewa is resigning from his post. Rabuka pointed to Waqatairewa’s lack of efficiency as a party official and expressed plans to propose Waqatairewa’s dismissal at the upcoming Management Board Committee Meeting. When contacted by FijiLive for comments, Waqatairewa declined to respond. The Party recently conducted its Annual General Assembly in Lautoka. Updates will follow.
