Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has officiated the groundbreaking ceremony for the upcoming Lautoka Seventh Day Adventist High School, a significant milestone aimed at enhancing Fiji’s educational landscape. The new high school is slated to open in 2026, which will greatly improve access to education for children in the Lautoka region.

During his address at the ceremony, Prime Minister Rabuka emphasized the importance of this project, expressing his gratitude to the Seventh Day Adventist Church for its ongoing dedication to Fiji’s education sector. He noted that approximately 95% of schools in the country are built and managed by religious institutions, acknowledging their vital contribution to education in Fiji.

Rabuka reiterated the Government’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships with religious organizations and other stakeholders to advance the education sector. He encouraged all parties involved to work together to bring this project to fruition, stating, “Let us collectively come together to make this project a reality.”

In addition to this new high school, the Seventh Day Adventist Church already operates three high schools and twelve primary schools across Fiji, demonstrating its commitment to providing quality education.
