Labasa’s head coach, Ravneel Pratap, is focusing on boosting the team’s morale ahead of their Round 14 DFPL match against T/Naitasiri, aiming to keep their winning streak intact at home. In an interview, Pratap acknowledged that the team’s spirits were dampened after a 4-2 defeat to Lautoka in Round 13.
He stated, “The morale has gone down after the game against Lautoka, so it’s important to get the boys focused and ready, especially when we’re playing at home. We haven’t lost any DFPL matches this season at Subrail Park, and we hope to maintain that.”
The coach emphasized the need to improve Labasa’s defense, an aspect that was lacking during the recent Battle of the Giants tournament. “The boys are eager to score goals, but they forget to defend their own goalmouth, and that’s where they get punished,” he noted.
