Kitione Baleloa, the Golden Glove winner from the Futsal IDC, has been included in Labasa’s squad for the upcoming Pacific Community Cup. The talented goalkeeper, who currently plays Futsal for the Suva champions, has been brought in as a guest player to provide support for veteran goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau.

Coach Ravneel Pratap explained the decision to recruit Baleloa, stating that the team’s other goalkeepers are unavailable due to various commitments. Jitoko Vulava is currently occupied with a training course for the Fiji Police Force, while Joji Vuakaca is sidelined due to injury.

Pratap expressed confidence in Baleloa, noting, “Kitione is in good shape and has agreed to join us. We are happy to have him on board.” Additionally, Asaeli Tunidau and Sakiusa Saqiri from Tailevu Naitasiri have also joined the Babasiga Lions for the tournament.

Labasa is set to launch its campaign against the USA All Stars today at 4:30 PM, showcasing an exciting opportunity for players and fans alike.

This development reflects Labasa’s commitment to building a strong team, even in the face of challenges. The inclusion of skilled players like Baleloa can positively influence their performance in the tournament, fostering hope for a successful campaign in the Pacific Community Cup.
