KPMG has officially opened a new Australian-focused delivery centre, Fiji Dynamix, in Garden City, Suva, marking a significant expansion of its operations in Fiji aimed at meeting surging client demand and positioning the country as a regional hub for digital and professional services.

The facility was originally constructed to accommodate 39 staff but has been scaled up to provide 104 workstations, reflecting the rapid growth in demand for KPMG’s services, the firm said. Naomi Mitchell, KPMG’s national managing partner, said the enlarged office was deliberately designed to support both client needs and staff wellbeing. “For our staff, KPMG has also had a goal of providing offices such as this, which assist with wellbeing and productivity. KPMG Garden City and its FDX team are a dynamic part of that vision that we have,” Mitchell said.

Branded as an Australian-focused delivery centre, Fiji Dynamix will support KPMG’s delivery of export-ready services into regional markets, particularly Australia, while also creating capacity for local workforce growth. The firm described the centre as a strategic investment to scale delivery capabilities quickly without compromising service quality or employee experience.

Australia’s High Commissioner to Fiji, Peter Roberts, welcomed the opening, framing it as an endorsement of Fiji’s emerging role in the region’s professional services and digital innovation landscape. “I think this is a very significant milestone for Fiji’s reputation as a regional hub, for digital innovation and for high-level, high skill professional services,” Roberts said, highlighting the bilateral interest in strengthening Fiji’s commercial and skills ecosystem.

The launch of Fiji Dynamix comes against a backdrop of concerted efforts to grow Fiji’s outsourcing and professional services sectors. Industry leaders and government partners have in recent months emphasised the country’s resilience and potential as a competitive destination for delivery centres, citing investments in training, infrastructure and partnerships that aim to build a larger, export-capable workforce. KPMG’s expansion is one of the more visible private-sector moves in that direction, signalling confidence in local talent and the business environment.

KPMG said the centre will not only serve as a delivery hub but will also underpin workforce development through roles that require higher-skilled, digital-capable staff. The company framed the office expansion as part of its broader strategy to combine client delivery with employee-focused amenities, seeking to balance productivity with staff retention and wellbeing.

While details on the immediate hiring plans were not disclosed, the jump from a planned headcount of 39 to seating for 104 indicates room for accelerated recruitment as client pipelines grow. KPMG’s Fiji Dynamix adds to a growing number of international and regional firms scaling operations in Suva, a trend that stakeholders say could produce spillover benefits in jobs, training and export earnings if sustained.
