Jaanvi Swaram Kumar, a Year 13 student at Tilak High School in Lautoka, has set ambitious goals for her future in medicine after being honored with the Dux Award. Demonstrating remarkable academic prowess, she achieved an impressive score of 384 out of 400 in her external exams, including a perfect score in mathematics and notable results in other subjects: 89 in English, 99 in Chemistry, 97 in Physics, and 92 in Biology.
Reflecting on her exam preparation, Ms. Kumar credited her success to the unwavering support of her parents. Despite facing challenges and moments of self-doubt, she emphasized that the journey to success is often fraught with difficulty, but perseverance is key.
Jaanvi plans to continue her education at Fiji National University, where she intends to enroll in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program. In the spirit of giving back, she dedicated her recent achievement to her older siblings and her parents.
