Bula FC’s head coach, Stéphane Auvray, has confirmed that his team will be facing Vanuatu United today without a fully fit squad. In his comments ahead of the crucial match, Auvray highlighted the ongoing challenge of injuries within the team but expressed confidence in their ability to perform competitively.

The absence of central defender Gabriele Matanisiga is significant, as he is sidelined due to injury. Auvray noted that while some players are returning from their injuries, they are still not at full match readiness.

“We do not have a fully fit squad. We have an important central back, Gabriele Matanisiga, who is missing because he’s injured. We also have some players coming back from injuries, so they’re not fully fit,” Auvray stated.

Despite these challenges, Auvray maintained a pragmatic outlook, referencing the commonality of injury issues in professional football. “That’s the life of a professional club. It’s very rare that you have everybody at 100 percent. We have a few injuries and players coming back, but at the end of the day, we have no complaints because most of the players are able to compete and play,” he explained.

Bula FC aims to navigate these selection hurdles as they strive for a successful outcome against Vanuatu United. The match is set to commence at 2 PM and will be broadcast live on FBC 2. The team’s resilience in the face of adversity reflects their determination to aim for victory, despite the setbacks they currently face.
