The Hot Bread Kitchen (HBK), a popular home-grown bakery chain, has proudly opened its 26th location in the Arts Village complex in Deuba, marking an exciting milestone for the company. This new outlet is notable for being HBK’s first to operate 24 hours a day, providing round-the-clock service to both locals and visitors.

Vanessa Charters, group director of Hot Bread Kitchen, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion and its potential to serve the villages and cooperatives in the Serua province. While she did not disclose the exact investment cost for this new facility, Charters indicated that the investment was substantial, falling within the “six figures” range to account for the newly constructed space and advanced equipment necessary for 24-hour operations.

Charters emphasized the importance of maintaining quality service around the clock, noting the need for reliable electrics and hydraulics to ensure that customers can expect service at any hour. She praised the partnership with the Damodar Group, with this location becoming the third outlet within their sites, joining the existing HBK locations in Damodar City Suva and Labasa, as well as another shop in Pacific Harbour.

Reflecting on the successful collaboration, Charters remarked on the Damodar Group’s ability to create high-standard retail environments, contributing to a culture of modernity and excellence in Fiji. She highlighted that the Arts Village location not only enhances the community but also promotes the idea of memorable experiences within beautiful settings.

To celebrate the grand opening, HBK is launching an interactive challenge, inviting customers to suggest and name new products for the bakery. Participants can visit the Deuba store, purchase any item, and fill out an entry form to propose a name. Winners will receive a cash prize and recognition for their creative contributions.

As Hot Bread Kitchen celebrates its 45th anniversary this year, the company continues to grow and now employs over 700 staff members across the islands of Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, underscoring its commitment to local employment and community engagement.
