Hoskins Sotutu, recently disregarded by the All Blacks, has been honored with the Super Rugby Pacific Player of the Year title. Sotutu’s exceptional performance contributed greatly to the 2024 championship victory by the Blues.
Throughout the Super Rugby Pacific season, Sotutu successfully scored 12 tries and assisted eight, securing the highest totals in both categories among forwards. Additionally, he ranked within the top 10 for carries made.
However, Sotutu’s contributions were not limited merely to his offensive play – he also impressed with his defensive skills. Landing within the top 20 for tackles, ranking among the top five for rucks, and winning 14 turnovers, Sotutu’s all-around performance was noted.
