The FMF Mirchi FM and Radio Fiji Two Non-Stop Holi Masti event is currently creating waves at the Damodar City Carpark in Suva, pulling in a large and enthusiastic crowd that is embracing the vibrant festivities. According to Aziza Nisha, the Team Leader of Fijian Broadcasting Corporation’s Mirchi FM, even more thrilling performances are on the horizon as the night advances, promising a captivating mix of both traditional and modern acts.
So far, the celebration has featured an array of performances, including cultural highlights such as Chautal and Jogira, which enrich the event with their diverse cultural representations. “We have a huge number of crowd and we’re expecting more as we progress into the evening. Our entire team is here, so if you want to come and play Holi with us, you’re most welcome. We’re giving out colors in our FBC tent,” Nisha stated.
The festival kicked off at 3 PM and is scheduled to run until 8 PM, showcasing a variety of local talent through dance groups and singers. Past celebrations have underscored Holi’s significance as a unifying festival, fostering harmony among various ethnic communities. Ashneel Singh, the manager of Hindi Radio, pointed out that the festival plays a vital role in enhancing social connections and promoting cultural understanding among participants.
