Defending his Asia Pacific IBO championship title, Winston Hill recognizes the significant challenge posed by each opponent as he prepares to face Australian boxer Lachlan O’Shea in an upcoming match organized by the South Pacific Boxing Promotion.
Hill describes the fight against O’Shea as akin to a nightmare he cannot escape or confront head-on.
“Every fight I prepare for feels like I am going up against the most dangerous man I’ve ever faced,” Hill shared. “I see this fight as one of those bad dreams where you can’t run away and can’t fight back.”
He remains committed to his strategic approach, focusing on exploiting his opponent’s weaknesses.
“This is it. In my mind, this guy is out to get me, so I am fully preparing for him, just like the Boogeyman,” Hill remarked.
Reflecting on previous matchups with tough opponents like Jese Ravudi, Hill acknowledges the growth and resilience he has developed from such experiences.
“When I first fought Jese, I imagined him as this formidable adversary who could knock me out. After training hard and going through that fight, when I faced him again, I knew he would return stronger, armed with experience.”
As the reigning Asia Pacific champion, Hill feels the pressures of expectation but shows resolute determination and readiness for any challenges that lie ahead.
