The Ministry of Health is actively addressing outstanding claims of health workers as part of its commitment to support those who have dedicated their efforts during challenging times. To date, the Ministry has disbursed $5.9 million to established staff and government wage earners for overtime accrued in the first five months of the financial year.
To ensure the accuracy of these payments, additional claims are currently being compiled and verified across all cost centers. This meticulous verification process aims to guarantee that only eligible personnel receive compensation for their hard work. Following the recent Pay 26 inputting cycle, the Ministry has outlined that remaining overtime payments are set to be distributed during the first and second pay periods of 2026.
The Ministry has expressed gratitude for the tireless efforts of healthcare workers, particularly during periods of increased demand. Officials have also extended their appreciation for the patience shown by staff during this process, reinforcing their commitment to ensuring that all eligible workers are compensated fairly.
This initiative not only highlights the importance of recognizing healthcare workers’ contributions but also reflects a broader commitment to maintaining morale and support within the healthcare system as it continues to navigate demanding circumstances.
