The Grasshoppers Netball Club’s under-12 and under-14 teams have embarked on an exciting journey to Australia to participate in the Queensland Nissan State Age Championship. Their departure today marks a significant milestone for the club, as 24 players and six officials are ready to compete in this prestigious event scheduled for July 5-8 at the Maroochydore Multi Sports Complex.

Club secretary Adi Unaisi Ranavue shared that the teams have successfully navigated various challenges to ensure their readiness for this international competition. “Despite the challenges, our club has stood resilient and with less than 24 hours left, we are confident and ready for departure,” she stated. Ranavue expressed her gratitude towards the club’s executives, coaching staff, and parents for their unwavering support in making this trip possible.

This participation not only emphasizes the commitment of the Grasshoppers Netball Club to the sport but also reflects a continuing effort to nurture young athletes who excel both on and off the court. In addition to their competitive aspirations, the club has previously engaged in community outreach, reinforcing their dedication to social responsibility and the development of well-rounded individuals.

As the Grasshoppers prepare for the championship, there is a hopeful sentiment surrounding their journey. The experience gained from this event could be invaluable for the players, helping them grow both in their sport and as contributing members of their community.
