Fariza Ali, a standout student from Labasa Muslim Primary School, attributed her academic inspiration to the legendary physicist Albert Einstein. At just 14 years old, Fariza, who is in Year 8, achieved an impressive score of 461 out of 500 during the school’s annual prize-giving ceremony held last Thursday. With her eyes set on the future, she expressed her determination to excel even further next year.

Having recently enrolled at Labasa College, Fariza aspires to become a dentist and aims to earn honorary doctorate degrees in science, medicine, and philosophy, much like Einstein. She spoke proudly of her family’s achievements, highlighting that her siblings are also thriving in various prestigious careers, including a police officer and a doctor.

Fariza expressed gratitude for her supportive family, acknowledging the challenges her parents face while raising five children. Her father, who works as a manager for Tebara Halal Meats Limited, is the family’s sole provider. Despite being the youngest in her family, Fariza remains grounded and focused on her studies, crediting her parents for instilling in her a strong work ethic and values.

The manager of Labasa Muslim Primary School, Aiyub Khan, announced that the school is now accepting enrolments for next year and is committed to accommodating any student in need of placement.

This story not only highlights Fariza’s remarkable dedication to her education but also serves as a testament to the importance of family support and the value of hard work. As she continues her journey towards becoming a dentist, Fariza serves as an inspiring example for her peers and the community, illustrating that with determination and the right support, great achievements are within reach.
