Following a challenging loss of 19-0 to the Lilian Amazon at the Wairiki sevens tournament two weeks prior, Tagimoucia Ranadi has successfully turned their performance around. The Nadi-based team concluded their 2024 season on a triumphant note by winning the women’s division at the 31st R.C Manubhai Nataleira sevens held at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.

In the cup final, they defeated Sinukakala Amazon with a score of 19-5. Manageress Ana Rabuka praised both the team and the management, expressing hope that they can maintain their strong performance leading into the Coral Coast 7s tournament next month.

Rabuka acknowledged the dedication of the head coach and players, stating, “Hats off to them; all their sacrifices have paid off.” She mentioned that the team will not take a full break for the Christmas and New Year holidays, instead opting for a brief time with family before resuming training for the upcoming Coral Coast 7s.

On the field, Rabuka highlighted the exceptional teamwork displayed by her players, emphasizing the importance of unity and love to achieve success. She dedicated the victory to her husband, Craig Howell, a robust supporter of Tagimoucia rugby.

Discipline has been a key factor in their success throughout the recent tournaments, with Rabuka expressing immense pride in her players and acknowledging how far they have progressed.

This story not only showcases the resilience and determination of the Tagimoucia Ranadi team but also highlights the supportive role of family and community in sports. As they prepare for the Coral Coast 7s, it’s inspiring to see how they harness their experiences to fuel future successes.
