A fraud case involving Pawan Deo, a former accountant for the Fiji Rugby Union, and his partner Subhashni Mudaliar has been rescheduled to January 21. The case was meant to be heard by Suva Magistrate Krishan Prasad; however, it was postponed as the court was not in session.

Both individuals face serious allegations, including conspiracy to defraud and unlawfully obtaining financial advantages. They are accused of misappropriating $53,788.75 from the Fiji Rugby Union and facilitating fraudulent payments amounting to $7,291.83 to Sports Supplies Ltd in 2022.

This case underlines the critical importance of accountability and integrity in financial practices, particularly within sports organizations. As legal proceedings unfold, it provides a vital opportunity for a thorough examination of the facts surrounding these serious allegations, with the hope that justice will be achieved for all parties involved.

The adjournment allows additional time for a detailed review of the evidence and reinforces the principle that the judicial system is committed to a fair legal process.
