Former FijiFirst MP resigns from role in Parliament

Former FijiFirst MP Viliame Naupoto has resigned from his position as Opposition Whip. This resignation was confirmed by Parliament Speaker Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu this morning. Despite stepping down from the role, Mr. Naupoto will continue to serve as a Member of Parliament. In the interim, Independent MP Jone Usamate will assume the responsibilities of Acting Opposition Whip until a permanent appointment is made.
