The FMF Navosa Netball Competition kicked off successfully yesterday, showcasing strong participation and intense competition from teams spanning Nadroga and Navosa.
Judy Kumar, the President of Navosa Netball, expressed her satisfaction with the opening day, highlighting the commitment and skill displayed by the teams on the court. “We started the day successfully and it was a good day overall,” Kumar stated.
A total of 20 teams from the Nadroga/Navosa region are vying for victory in the two-day tournament, taking place at Vatureba grounds, with the event set to conclude today. Kumar described the competition as highly competitive, noting that several teams have already distinguished themselves in the early rounds.
Among the standout teams are Qwalivula, Belovula, Qwalimavua, Nanumi Au, and Henibua, all of whom delivered impressive performances on the first day of the tournament.
As the FMF Navosa Netball Competition progresses into its final stages today, teams will battle fiercely for top honors, generating excitement and enthusiasm for netball in the region. The promising talent on display reflects the growing popularity and engagement in the sport, offering a positive outlook for future competitions.
