Flying Arrows Football Club is eager to leave a significant mark in the 2024 Fiji Football Cecil’s National Regional Club Championship, taking place at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori today. As one of the oldest football clubs in the Ba district, Flying Arrows enters the tournament with a team bolstered by several experienced representatives, known for their consistent performances throughout the season.

The club’s storied history and strengthened roster position them as strong contenders in this year’s championship. They received a warm send-off on Monday night at Ba Civic Hall, where a farewell event was held to recognize the players and coaching staff for their hard work and dedication.

Team member Penisoni Tirau shared insights into their preparations, emphasizing the importance of unity within the squad after the Inter-District Championship (IDC). He mentioned that despite early challenges in fostering team bonding, the past week saw improved attendance and morale among the players. Tirau also highlighted the significance of mental and spiritual readiness, stating, “We prepared well mentally and spiritually. Our bonding has been great, and we’re ready to give our best.”

Flying Arrows will kick off their tournament today at 1 PM against Blues FC. Their schedule continues with a match against Northpole FC tomorrow at 11 AM and a final pool match against Friends United on Saturday. The tournament promises four days of thrilling football, concluding with the championship match on Sunday at the Fiji FA Academy Ground in Vatuwaqa, where the top teams from each group will vie for the title.
