The Insurance Association of Fiji (IAF) has initiated its first-ever IAF National Logo Competition, inviting primary and secondary school students across Fiji to showcase their creativity through logo design. This initiative, launched recently, aims to foster a broader understanding of insurance among the youth while allowing them to express their artistic talents.

According to IAF chairman Avi Raju, this year marks a significant expansion as the competition will also include upper primary students, in addition to high school participants. The goal is to engage a wider demographic of students, encouraging them to learn about the importance of insurance in society while creatively contributing to IAF’s visual identity.

Selected logos will not only be showcased across social media and traditional media channels but will also be prominently featured during the IAF Annual Awards Night scheduled for August 16, 2025, at the Grand Pacific Hotel. The competition offers attractive prizes for the top three entries from both primary and secondary school categories, including cash awards of $1000 each, certificates, school merchandise, and tech gadgets. Notably, winners will receive their awards from the Prime Minister of Fiji during the gala event.

Students interested in participating must submit their entries by July 17, 2025. This competition serves as an exciting opportunity for young Fijians to engage with the topic of insurance creatively, underscoring the importance of education and creativity in shaping their futures.

This initiative echoes a growing trend in Fiji’s educational landscape, where competitions are increasingly being used to cultivate critical thinking and creative skills among students. Similar initiatives, like the National Schools Road Safety Competition, also aim to promote awareness among the youth while fostering their engagement in socially relevant topics. By encouraging creative expression through competitions, these programs not only enrich the students’ learning experiences but also instill a sense of responsibility and advocacy for pressing issues in society.

As these educational initiatives thrive, they promise to instill a culture of creativity, knowledge, and responsibility among Fiji’s youth, shaping them into well-rounded future leaders.
