Despite her existing international competition experience, Mudunasoko admits to feeling nervous about her role as flag bearer. “This is my first time carrying the flag, and while I’m a bit anxious, I’m eager to do my best for my family, my school, and for Fiji,” she stated. Her dedication to swimming includes waking up at 5 AM for practice, where she focuses on perfecting her technique, aware of the challenges that training entails.
As Team Fiji gears up to leave for Palau on June 27, the Mini Games will run from June 29 to July 9. The atmosphere surrounding the team is one of optimism and excitement. This remarkable event is poised to not only showcase athletic talent but also foster national pride, encouraging future generations of sportspersons in Fiji.
