The 2025 Fiji Secondary School’s Football Championship will be held at the newly upgraded Govind Park in Ba from August 20 to 23, featuring 56 teams from various educational grades. This year’s event follows the successful Southern zone playoffs, where five standout teams earned their places: Suva Muslim College U19, DAV College U15, Vunimono High School U15, Vashist Muni College U17, and Rishikul Sanatan College U17.
Elvis Goundar, president of the Southern Zone Secondary School Football Association, expressed his satisfaction with the competitive spirit displayed during the playoffs. He noted that defending champions Vashist Muni College U17 would be among the teams to watch, along with Rishikul and Vunimono. With a total of 20 U19 teams, 20 open girls, eight U17s, and eight U15 teams, the championship promises to deliver an engaging showcase of talent and determination.
Supporters of the event include sponsors like Fiji Football, the Ministry of Education, and Oceania Fibreglass, with Goundar thanking parents and spectators for their unwavering encouragement.
