The squad departed for New Zealand recently, with their first challenge against the Hurricanes set for Saturday. Under the guidance of head coach Senirusi Seruvakula, the team has been diligently training since December last year.
Seruvakula, who recently led the Fijian Drua women’s team to an unbeaten victory in Super W, is infusing a sense of optimism and urgency in his young players. He believes that if the women can achieve such success, then the men’s team can similarly shine. “Everything is possible. We want to make a mark out there,” he stated, urging his team to embrace the competition as an opportunity for growth and enjoyment.
