The Fiji Senior Golfers tournament, sponsored by Asco Motors, was held at the Natadola Golf Course in Nadi over the weekend. Fiji Golf Club Secretary Susan Yee noted that 70 players took part in the two-person Ambrose event, which brought together participants from the West, Pacific Harbour, Australia, and the Fiji Golf Club for a day of golfing.

Yee highlighted that it was encouraging to see 20 female golfers participating, including prominent players like Susan Joyce, Barbara O’Neil, and Heather Atu from Nadi, as well as Tema Buadromo from Australia and Fiji Golf Club members such as Barbara Nasara, Mua Rawlinson, and Caroline Chang.

Thanks to the sponsorship from Asco Motors Limited, prizes were awarded to the top six finishers, along with awards for Nearest-to-the-Pin on all Par 3 holes and Longest Drives for both male and female players. Additionally, two lucky draw vouchers were handed out, and a delicious lunch was provided by the Natadola team.

The tournament results were as follows: Indar Wajan and Joeli secured 6th place with 67.5 points, while Asim Hussein and Thiphait Hussein finished 5th with 67 points. Kamal Singh and Naveen Chand took 4th place with 66.5 points, Jack Lee and Rookie were in 3rd with 66 points, and Linda Callaghan and Vidhya Lakhan claimed 2nd place with 65.75 points.
