Opposition MP Mosese Bulitavu has remarked that former politicians from FijiFirst attribute the downfall of former Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama to former Attorney-General and Minister for Economy, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum. Responding to Bloc 16 and Opposition MP Jone Usamate’s remarks referring to Sayed-Khaiyum as a hypocrite, Bulitavu noted that the statement reflects the opposition’s discontent towards Sayed-Khaiyum and their desire to distance themselves from him politically.

Bulitavu expressed that many former senior ministers within the previous FijiFirst administration provided constructive advice to Bainimarama but were often disregarded by Sayed-Khaiyum.
